Uruka or the Bihu eve happens to be an important aspect of Magh Bihu. The womenfolk prepare various food items viz. ‘ chira’, ‘pitha’, ‘laru’, ‘curd’ and so on for the next day. The Uruka is not a one-day affair as fuel, fish and meat are to be collected.
